Many times we remain stuck because we stuck in past anger, hurt, resentment caused by un-forgiveness. Forgiveness is a process and best to be gentle with yourself. I found these 5 Steps assisted me to forgive.
  1. Stop blaming others and seeing yourself as the victim. Even though you were harmed or hurt, choose to no longer blame.
  2. Take responsibility for the part you played in the story. This would take some deep digging and could possibly be a bit painful. Growth can be messy.
  3. Forgive yourself and remember you only did what you knew at that stage of your journey.
  4. Take the lesson from what you have learnt from the experience to assist you if you should go through a similar experience or to assist another going through the same experience.
  5. Stop re-hashing the old story and start focusing on what you want in your life and start building your new story one step at a time. And remember God forgave you for your sins ..this always reminds me that there is something called unconditional love even if it means to love others from a distance. Eleanor.
